Waterways Action Squad
The Waterways Trust is working closely with British Waterways on an exciting new project, the Waterways Action Squad. The main aim of the project is to increase youth involvement and improve young people's attitudes towards waterways.
Over 570 volunteering opportunities will be created throughout the project, forming a diverse programme of activities for 16 -25 year olds and enabling the young people involved to develop a wide range of practical and life skills. We want to restore, protect, promote and enjoy our waterways through conservation, monitoring, restoration, art and interpretation.
